Excerpts of US military report on Iraq jail abuse


WASHINGTON, May 4 (Reuters) - Following are excerpts from a report of a military investigation of abuses of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison outside Baghdad. It was headed by U.S. Maj. Gen. Antonio Taguba, named on Jan. 31, and the report was completed on March 3, the Pentagon said.

"Between October and December 2003, at the Abu Ghraib Confinement Facility (BCCF), numerous incidents of sadistic, blatant, and wanton criminal abuses were inflicted on several detainees. This systemic and illegal abuse of detainees was intentionally perpetrated by several members of the military police guard force (372nd Military Police Company, 320th Military Police Battalion, 800th MP Brigade), in Tier (section) 1-A of the Abu Ghraib Prison (BCCF).

In addition, several detainees also described the following acts of abuse, which under the circumstances, I find credible based on the clarity of their statements and supporting evidence provided by other witnesses:

Breaking chemical lights and pouring the phosphoric liquid on detainees

Threatening detainees with a charged 9mm pistol

Pouring cold water on naked detainees

Beating detainees with a broom handle and a chair

Threatening male detainees with rape

Allowing a military police guard to stitch the wound of a detainee who was injured after being slammed against the wall in his cell;

Sodomizing a detainee with a chemical light and perhaps a broom stick.

Using military working dogs to frighten and intimidate detainees with threats of attack, and in one instance actually biting a detainee.

The intentional abuse of detainees by military police personnel included the following acts:

Punching, slapping, and kicking detainees; jumping on their naked feet;

Videotaping and photographing naked male and female detainees;

Forcibly arranging detainees in various sexually explicit positions for photographing;

Forcing detainees to remove their clothing and keeping them naked for several days at a time;

Forcing naked male detainees to wear women's underwear;

Forcing groups of male detainees to masturbate themselves while being photographed and videotaped;

Arranging naked male detainees in a pile and then jumping on them;

Positioning a naked detainee on a MRE (meals ready to eat) Box, with a sandbag on his head, and attaching wires to his fingers, toes, and penis to simulate electric torture;

Writing "I am a Rapest" on the leg of a detainee alleged to have forcibly raped a 15-year-old fellow detainee, and then photographing him naked;

Placing a dog chain or strap around a naked detainee's neck and having a female soldier pose for a picture;

A male MP guard having sex with a female detainee;

Using military working dogs (without muzzles) to intimidate and frighten detainees, and in at least one case biting and severely injuring a detainee;

Taking photographs of dead Iraqi detainees.

These findings are amply supported by written confessions provided by several of the suspects, written statements provided by detainees, and witness statements.

The various detention facilities operated by the 800th MP Brigade have routinely held persons brought to them by Other Government Agencies (OGA) without accounting for them, knowing their identities, or even the reason for their detention. The Joint Interrogation and Debriefing Center (JIDC) at Abu Ghraib called these detainees "ghost detainees."

On at least one occasion, the 320th MP Battalion at Abu Ghraib held a handful of "ghost detainees" (6-8) for OGAs that they moved around within the facility to hide them from a visiting International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) survey team. This maneuver was deceptive, contrary to Army Doctrine, and in violation of international law.

SenderBerl: The evidence is clear that the criminal actions here were not isolated or random but planned and cogent. Our interpretation from the facts is that when you have OGA prisoners secreted from the Red Cross in a windowless special cell block where torture is taking place and you have a number of the OGA detainees die from "natural causes" you have a black operations emanating straight from the shadow government at the White House to:

• Recruit by blackmail Iraqis to serve as spies and operatives for the US government and

• Those that prove unwilling to be compromised cannot be released into the general population where they could identify others in the cell block and thus they are eliminated as a casualty of war

The evidence of this is that we noted on CNN yesterday that one of those pictured in the controversial pictures of humiliation was well dressed and looked as though he was never confined not to say tortured or humiliated. On his public identification, he proclaimed his own exile and relayed that he would be leaving his country.

Included in this group of specially selected special operatives were people randomly picked up by military forces for imprisonment. The very fact that private contractors were engaged to oversee the torture humiliation and no doubt premature death of people, invoked our thinking that they are protected by Executive Order 13303, which we don't doubt the President and Vice-President will claim protects them as well. While we say the latter with tongue in cheek. what we are quite serious about is what we discuss below: that this Congress has to stop this administration yesterday and we have jumped up and down that it should keep its focus on 9-11 since as we present below President Bush by his own words and admissions makes his own complicity in 9-11 obvious.

This is the most shameful type of interpretation and analyses we could make. We must remember that indiscriminate killings of innocents and children have consequences even worse than the above. However, the deliberate design of torture and humiliation says a lot in a graphic way as highlighted above and it should not be tolerated by the American people, the Congress or the world another day.

President Bush told the Arab world on Wednesday that Americans are appalled by the abuse and deaths of Iraqi prisoners at the hands of U.S. soldiers. Late Wednesday night, new pictures surfaced. The pictures include shots of soldiers simulating sexually explicit acts with one another and shots of a cow being skinned and gutted and soldiers posing with its severed head. There are also dozens of pictures of a cat's severed head.Other photographs show wounded men and dead bodies. In one, a dead man is lying in the back of a truck, his shirt, face and left arm covered in blood. His right arm is missing. Another photograph shows a dead body, gray and decomposing. A young soldier is leaning over the corpse, smiling broadly and giving the "thumbs-up" sign.And in another picture a young woman lifts her shirt, exposing her breasts. She is wearing a white band with numbers on her wrist, but it is unclear if she is a prisoner.Another photograph of a naked man with a dark hood over his head, handcuffed to a cell door. Reuters May 5: WASHINGTON/BAGHDAD (Reuters) - President Bush sought to repair America's image among Iraqis on Wednesday by making a personal pledge on Arab television that soldiers who murdered and abused Iraqi prisoners would be punished.

SenderBerl: Focus should be removed from "soldiers" and dots connected all the way back. Our perception is that you will find the Vice President.

SenderBerl: We wrote the other day when we highlighted our interpretation of why the abuse took place that those who did not bend to the will of those implicating them for purposes of blackmail probably were killed. Why? Because they could identify all those Iraqis with them who participated in the conduct fortunately photopgraphed and released so that the American people would know that it was not soldiers but a presidential administration and its agents who were participating in torture for purposes of coercing cooperation which the CIA otherwise failed to obtain. However, since these efforts emanated from corporate contractors without question to our minds the dots connect back to a Vice President we heard long ago had no qualms with acts sadistic in tone and nature.

If you pause and think you would clearly undertand that no one under the American flag engages in torture unless they get the green light. The point of history is that men and women in the military must reject orders however we have shown that corporation hiring sadists perfect for the job at hand now enjoy protection under Executive order. We wonder whether President Bush when he addressed the Arab/Islamic nations today explained to them that they could count on the fact that Executive orders issued by him in the past preclude prosecution by anyone not a soldier connected to a US corporation. After his complicity in 9-11, we suppose it was easy to go on TV and just lie about it because lying was important not only to smooth over the fact that the US deployed torture no doubt seen at Guantanimo Bay but that this was a real hook for a regional uprising against the USA, something that could really pose a problem to Bush and the NWO.

Conclusion: There were some nine or ten people wathcing what was caught in the photos. May we have their names and know what each of them are doing in Iraq and for whom they work? Come on America, stop this administration. It's not an issue of not electing him again in November, it's an issue of stopping him right here today.

The CIA also said on Wednesday it was investigating the deaths of three prisoners who were interrogated by agency personnel in Iraq and Afghanistan but it did not say if these three deaths were among the 25 already revealed by the Army.

Two top Bush allies on Capitol Hill, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, a Tennessee Republican, and Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman John Warner of Virginia, said they were appalled by the prisoner abuse.

SenderBerl: The only thing these people are appalled about is that it got uncovered. We imagine that they are criticial for not taking these innocents to a facility in line with the security of Guantanimo Bay, where there was no threat of anything getting out (and even here we understand that reports are circulating about un acceptable humilitation and torture taking place there).

At a coffee shop in Baghdad, where men gathered to watch Bush on television, one customer, Abdul-Kader Abdul-Rahim, said he did not doubt that the U.S. military would investigate the abuse. But he doubted that this would change conditions in Iraq.

"I do believe the president when he talks about investigation because they live in a democracy and in this democracy even Bush can be investigated," he said.

SenderBerl: The image, honor and reputation of the USA is so dominant and strong that some people even Iraqis cannot imagine that torture can be aligned with an American presidential administration (how can you discount that reality when you see an administration complicit in 9-11 and one without conscience or remorse in the killing of strings of innocents including infants and children). Thus, the importance of our points and efforts. As we said, let 9-11 go unanswered and/or masked and hidden, and you open the portal to evil taking full and complete operational control. You will have a police state and the world will be at . war giving the NWO the type of depopulation they enlist. Those here in America forging an alliance once understanding what is truly taking place will be deemed a security threat and picked up and taken up under the ambit of the Patriot Act. But U.S. forces will remain long after that, in numbers greater than Washington once forecast. A level of about 138,000 U.S. troops will be maintained through 2005, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said, adding: "You're going to have a period of increased attacks."

SenderBerl: We interpreted a while back that US toops would be increased because Bush 43 aims on completing his mission and that means moving into and controlling Syria and Iran. Iraq was supposed to be model not for democracy but for the democratic puppet government Bush 43 and his cabal enlisted to put into place into all three countries.

Pakistan said that it has lodged a protest with the United States over what it calls an incursion into its territory by U.S. troops hunting fighters linked to the al-Qaida terror network. The U.S. military has not commented.

Both military and civilian officials said that the intrusion took place late Sunday in a remote region, known as North Waziristan, bordering Afghanistan.

SenderBerl: Excuses rationalizations justifications and arrogance were hallmarks of prior evil empires seeking to retain their glory or expand their empires. They all failed. Suggested Findings for the 9-11 Commission

Circumstantial and direct evidence prove beyond a reasonable doubt the following:

a.       The Bush administration showed wanton neglect in protecting the nation on 9-11 from anticipated and forewarned domestic terrorism;

b.      As to allow the conclusion that it allowed the historically recorded terrorism of that day to take place;

c.       That the Bush administration or a shadow government in control thereof was complicit in the events of that day to elevate the terrorism otherwise planned by Al-Qaeda cells in the United States, taking flight lessons to aid in a planned hijacking of US aircraft;

d.      That the Bush administration could have prepared and should have prepared a structured plan to respond to the imminent threat of airplane hijackings but did not only do so but the record shows that the sitting administration did not in fact convey requisite and needed information and command for the FBI, FAA and other agencies to properly move forward to preclude the attack or prevent the damage done on 9-11 to major metropolitan areas;

e.       That the Congress is compelled to pursue the issue that the long in place NORAD system to protect the country including major metropolitan areas from nuclear attack, failed on 9-11 to intervene even after four planes went off transponder and more than one plane was known hijacked by 8:25 AM that day;

f.        That the President and his administration’s argument that it simply underestimated the threat and danger in play and that there were systemic problems in the country’s infrastructure to meet and address the attack of 9-11, which it could not correct in its first 233 days in office, is deemed fully irrelevant to the conclusions and determinations otherwise rendered above under the known facts and circumstances deemed central and relevant to the events of 9-11.

WHEREFORE, this Commission’s findings should be forwarded to the United States Congress for immediate action deemed fitting, appropriate and required in view of the serious and dire implications thereof to the nation.

President's News Conference: April 13, 2004:

The media post the news conference is packed with those on the payroll out to glorify his steadfastness to task when he showed himself before the world today to be either on the verge of falling ill (see the video above) or that he lacked the presidential demeanor to handle things when they are not going as he is accustomed. His position is that he is going to do things his way because his way is the right way and if the people want someone else they will vote in another president this November. This cannot speak well for him or the country. Did you notice that he only seemed to wake up from his stupor when speaking about OIL -- saying that OIL production and revenues were beyond original expectation. We keep hearing him say that the Iraqi people are happy that Saddam is out but the truth is that the Iraqi people want Bush out more than they wanted Saddam out. In fact, the reality is that Saddam was no threat, Iraq is a unique country with a history of internal conflict, and the US consistent with its historical interest in helping remove evil regimes could have gotten rid of him and his sons long ago. But the truth is that Saddam was essential for the agenda in play since Bush 41 to open the gateway for the NWO to get hold of Middle Eastern oil. Bush speaks to the American people as though they are dumb, blind and stupid, and the American people unfortunately have been: but the rest of the world well knows the truth and the Islamic nations and people are not going to allow Bush to succeed. Moreover, there is a higher authority that is not going to let him succeed because it is impossible from where we sit to see an invasion succeed which aims to militarily alter the culture from one of belief in G-d to one that will secularize the nation. Incredibly, Israel itself has fallen subject to this very same culture change as we succinctly explained at www.senderberl.com/UI.PDF and www.senderberl.com/UI.htm. SenderBerl explained to top Clinton people that while he thought he had four aces up his sleeve his Middle East peace effort would fail and we explained to Bush top people the same thing. Superior military force is not determinative. Moreover, it is critical to understand that this entire war effort to eliminate the threat of terrorism in fact will increase it and this country could commit ten fold the resources and manpower and there is nothing that will prevent future bioterrorism of a nature and kind that can turn this country upside down. President Bush and his oil cabal have created this danger and condition so that they could launch a campaign after marshalling a force of pawns and dupes to move out on the agenda believing there was a legitimate basis therefor. You cannot have a legitimate agenda when it seeks to diminish religion and the Judeo-Christian ethic and abates the bill or rights and the bedrock of this republic: the United States Constitution. Anyone that tries to sell you this scam is an enemy not a friend of this country. What you see in this video is the result of when man tries to assert himself in an area of the world not within the domain of men who seek to rule the world. G-d gave the Arab and Islamic people the oil and the elitist centrix while they rule the world and ordinarily get whatever they want and cannot be denied by man, are no match for He whom they suppose to defeat and oppose. That is why President Bush has dramatically aged and if he keeps pushing then it will become even apparent to those arrogant in this life that they have made a mistake with a punishment that will endure far beyond the pale of this life.

THESE QUESTIONS AND POINTS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH SYSTEMIC PROBLEMS IN THE INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY

Mr. President -- forget about moving mountains -- how about canceling your visit to read with second graders once you learned a hijacked plane went into a landmark New York City building?

Mr. President how about calling NORAD and checking whether military jets were up there ready to intercept since the August 6, 2001 memo fully supported that America was not only under attack but an active target of feared terrorism?

Mr. President how about telling us what you did when you heard that multiple jets were hijacked?

Mr. President, since you knew that there was a threat of terrorism using hijacked planes, how in the world could you tell the American public when you say you saw the first plane go into the north tower, that this was the deed of a poor pilot, as though it was a joke of some sort? By the way, how could you see the video of it before any video was known to exist of the incident?

Mr. President how about cutting short your stay in Crawford in August 2001 when putting the nation on the highest alert in US history and forgetting to tell the country about the imminent danger (when you found it appropriate to offer us the advice when misleading us when it came to Iraq)?

Mr. President, how could your National Security advisor help move mountains to stop the attack when she admits that she did not know until May 2002 that there was intel in the pipeline that terrorist were planning on using planes as missiles?

Mr. President Osama bin-Laden according to a video you released received a telephone call on or about September 6th 2001 about an imminent attack on the US. I believe it was a cell phone call. Do you believe that the National Security Agency had that call intercepted since the agency is tuned into his voice? If so did you receive that intel from the NSA(gency)? Mr. President, you changed your schedule suddenly on the morning of September 7th, did that have anything to do with the call Osama bin-Laden received?

Mr. President if our initial mission was to capture Osama bin-Laden wouldn't the best source to ultimately track him down be to have his family here in the USA for questioning? However, when all flights were grounded, was it you personally that authorized them to leave the USA and if not who authorized it?

The President will have one of his few formal news conferences tomorrow.
He's already falling apart and if the press core does its job the American public may get a look at the truth of this President and his administration.

Mr. President the August 6, 2001 memo is only one part of the intelligence available to you. What did the National Security Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency have to offer concerning the fact that the US was on the highest state of alert in American history? Did you to ask them to monitor communications focused on airplanes and hijackings and Osama bin-Laden's known voice?

Mr. President do you regret that the high status of alert during the six week period during the summer of 2001 was not extended another month?

Follow-up: Mr. President, how did we go from the highest state of alert to leaving the barn door open for the attacks of 9-11?

Mr. President, can you tell the American people why military jets were kept grounded for some thirty minutes after hijackings the very subject of concern of the August 6th memorandum to you? Since we were just taken off high alert, why didn't the military defense network instantly respond, knowing that the portal was open for domestic attack?

Folks, we have offered questions galore that can be asked, but the true tragedy is if and when the questions that should be offered the President are not.

The questions we predict will focus on Iraq. As we explained, the NWO leadership has allowed the media free and open reign on Iraq and the dynamic that President Bush has united Iraq -- unfortunately for our troops, united to take American life.

We only have one question for President Bush on Iraq that should be asked:

Mr. President have you been more successful than any other President in our nation's history in demoralizing the U.S. military service man (having them fight a war platformed on a mistaken predicate, having them pay for food while hospitalized and otherwise experience inordinate delays in receiving medical treatment, having them feel that this has been a war for oil, a war with the highest level of suicides among troops, connected in many cases to being party to a brutal and wrongful occupation)?

By the way, what is the story about a new military alliance in Europe that includes basically all the former members of NATO but intentionally omits the USA?

Do not let the NWO leaders get rid of Bush via Iraq rather than 9-11

We can sum it up in a very special way. The Sunday news shows today spoke endlessly about Iraq, but the word OIL was not mentioned even ONCE.

Thus the degree of N.W.O. control is strongly evident. The deal is probably as we suspected. The 9-11 Commission will conclude that the Bush administration underestimated the danger of Osama bin-Laden and when coupled with systemic problems had a material bearing on the events of 9-11. While highly critical no reference at all to the affirmative failings and putative complicity of this administration in the day’s events.

Iraq will be the vehicle to undercut the President’s re-election. This will open the door for Kerry to come in as the leader who will quickly smooth over relations and resolve Iraq. There will be no attack on Syria and Iran, but the issue regarding Iraqi oil will no doubt rest with negotiations with OPEC to favor the US with favorable long term pricing in relinquishing it. OPEC countries therefore will no doubt ultimately undertake a dominant role in resolving the political crisis in Iraq.

Problems with our perceived scenario: Iraqi religious leadership may not have the patience to wait that long. They saw US weakness this week. Bush withdrew and enlisted a cease-fire between the parties. The US no doubt didn’t want to further solder the relationship between the Shiites and Sunnis, another of Bush’s remarkable presidential accomplishments. There are endless streams of counter offensives in hand including kidnapping of personnel representative of the illusory coalition. This technique ultimately will have the truth apparent: leaving just the US alone in Iraq.

Conclusion: SenderBerl said very long ago to the Bush administration what we told the Israeli government: superior military strength does not translate into victory in the Middle East. In the Middle East the will of G-d controls and designs that implement agendas to remove people from G-d will not succeed since they operate to defame His name and existence. What we are disturbed about is that 9-11 represents this important portal for the people in the US to detect and confront the enemies within our government, those with the agenda of seeing the US ultimately weakened, maimed and abandoned. It should not be enough for you to see Bush’s poll numbers collapse to implement the resolution of 9-11. It is important to remove the shadow government that keeps iron control over the media and issues before the American public. While the rest of the world well knows and sees government complicity in the events of 9-11, Americans are under the control of the media as to how they think and respond to the 9-11 issues, being led now to find dissatisfaction over Bush in connection with Iraq, not 9-11. Kerry is Sharon. While the faces and waistlines of new leaders change, their control by N.W.O. leaders do not. Why do we interpret things like Gephardt being Kerry’s ultimate choice for Vice-President? It not only shows you how well we understand the evil in our midst but to put pressure that a low life like Gephardt doesn’t get the second slot. He will be to Kerry like Shimon Peres was to Yitzhak Rabin. Our highlighting it is aimed on putting pressure on the N.W.O. leaders not to push Kerry into picking someone he would not otherwise select.

This window of opportunity to confront the evil in our midst via the portal of 9-11 will soon shut. Please don’t let them get away with resolving it by pushing Bush out on Iraq rather than unraveling the truth of 9-11. The N.W.O. will pause for a four-year term from the rabid track taken by Bush 43, but control of our country will not be with the people, but with those who have no respect for us and for the founding precepts of this country based on the Judeo-Christian ethic.

President Bush on March 30, 2004 showing the strain in his eyes and face in announcing that Condoleezza Rice would testify under oath before the 9-11 Commission. Bush 41 has come out and publicly displayed his concern over the attacks on Bush 43. The true crisis in our opinion is that there is a fear among those complicit in 9-11 of whom may prove vulnerable and either intentionally or accidentally slip and open a portal to the dark side of this administration and its complicity in 9-11. President Bush may now recognize that Condy was reporting to Bush 41 behind his back all along, recognizing that his father and his other NWO suporters, including big oil, didn't think him worthy of cutting the umbilical cord.

Lots to Hide and NWO Concerns over both Bush and Rice

Bush insisted on the joint appearance in agreeing to take questions from all 10 members of the panel investigating the Sept. 11 attacks. He initially offered to meet only with the top two members, former New Jersey Gov. Thomas Kean, the chairman; and former Rep. Lee Hamilton, the vice chairman. The arrangement virtually eliminates any possibility of divergent answers from Bush and Cheney; lets Bush pass off any question he'd rather avoid; and makes follow-up questions all but impossible.

SenderBerl: This is serious stuff. Aristocratic heads could wind up rolling. Thus, Bush 41 secured Bush 43's safety by having him appear with Cheney, who will go down with a feigned heart attack if necessary to stop the proceedings (all the NWO has is horrid memories of Bush's dismal interview with Tim Russert on Meet the Press in February). Condoleezza Rice however inadvertently holds some other keys to putting the NWO into serious danger. Cheney despite anything else said to the contrary doesn't like her and he doesn't have much confidence in her. She has the tendency, real tendency to talk before thinking at times. Cheney and others of his genre don't intend to let Rice put them in pinstripes. Thus, we monitor events. The NWO's first choice would be to approach all the Commission members and/or get one to do what is necessary to stop blood letting if Rice stumbles and crumbles before the national cameras. We are positive that Cheney is monitoring her drills for the Commission hearing. She better convince him she can do the job.

Focus: The key dynamic regarding Clarke's testimony is not that Bush shifted resources too early from Al-Qaeda to Iraq, to weaken the war against terrorism, because, on the historical dimension, this can be argued to be nothing more than an error in presidential judgement, but the fact that Clarke was jumping up and down for a presidential response to the IMMINENT MAJOR TERRORISM KNOWN FORTHCOMING against the United States of America; that he was deliberately denied direct presidential contact; that his efforts to communicate with the President concerning his concern and alarm, ultimately shared in by Tenet, was deliberately stifled; that the President thereby knowingly and willingly never implemented a formal strategic design, only relenting for a period of several weeks in elevating the American defensive shield, with the terrorism of 9-11 not so coincidentally taking place only days after the heightened defenses were not only diminished but severely and inexplicably dropped to a degree making America nearly totally vulnerable, days before the President changed his schedule to travel to Florida to read with second graders, after criticism for being away from the White House for the entire month of August. Couple this with the fact that the Secret Service did not implement its own protocol to protect the President, and that it allowed him to remain there for an extended period of time, a publicly known location, to speak to the nation on television, and that the American trillion dollar military alert defensive response system failed to send up a single jet plane to defend this nation, when four American planes went off transponder, military and civilian intelligence fully aware of the implications thereof, ESPECIALLY AFTER HAVING JUST GONE OFF HEIGHTENED DEFENSIVE ALERT, speaks to exactly where the focus of Clarke's testimony should lie. Further couple this with Paul O'Neill's admission, supported by Richard Perle, that the Bush administration was sitting with plans in hand to implement a design for world domination and control (first stop OPEC) and just waiting for an act of major domestic terrorism, then you have the slam dunk case that 9-11 was allowed to happen and that the Bush administration knew what was about to take place and wanted it to take place and was complicit thereby therein. If the White House for a second thought the President was in danger, the President would have been whisked away from the Booker Elementary School. His staying there was proof positive that they knew the parameters of the terrorism in play that day and that it would not put the President at risk when seated with the second graders in Florida at the Booker Elementary School.

RUSSERT: For six weeks in the summer of 2001, at home and overseas, the U.S. government was at its highest possible state of readiness--and anxiety--against imminent terrorist attack."Did Dr. Rice instruct you to organize that meeting?MR. CLARKE:  No.  I told her I was going to do it.  And I had already been doing it two weeks before, because on June 21, I believe it was, George Tenet called me and said, "I don't think we're getting the message through.  These people aren't acting the way the Clinton people did under similar circumstances."  And I suggested to Tenet that he come down and personally brief Condi Rice, that he bring his terrorism team with him.  And we sat in the national security adviser's office.  And I've used the phrase in the book to describe George Tenet's warnings as "He had his hair on fire."  He was about as excited as I'd ever seen him.  And he said, "Something is going to happen."RUSSERT:  But you kept your guard up for six weeks, through the end of August.  Why didn't you stay on high alert through September 11th?  And you regret this day that you didn't because you may have stopped that attack

The Congress in allowing the Patriot Act to take hold stated inter alia "...all Americans are united in condemning, in the strongest possible terms, the terrorists who planned and carried out the attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001, and in pursuing all those responsible for those attacks and their sponsors until they are brought to justice." If the Americans people were compelled to allow our own government to undermine their fundamental Constitutionally protected guarantees and rights, with the blessings of the Bush administration, then the White House is surely hard pressed to argue that Condoleezza Rice can stand on a claim to deny the American people her sworn testimony regarding the events of 9-11.

When you see what our children have been and are exposed to on television, public education sabotaged, drugs institutionalized, and recognize that students in college are being openly solicited for the sex trade; when you recognize that those in leadership are preparing you to abandon the bedrock of this country, the U.S. Constitution and its Bills of Rights; that it adopts policies domestically and internationally the antithesis of what this country has ALWAYS represented, and that, as we interpreted in Recapturing America, the U.S. dollar would be deliberately sabotaged to make the US compliant to one world government; weakened and maimed to assure that a strong US military and country would not remain in a country planned on being abandoned by those scripting our current course, then you are dealing with those serving an evil design. If you don't see it and accept it seven years later, then you are simply shirking your own duty to take on an active role against it, which can be served in so many affirmative and positive ways, then you will be recorded in history as one of those in this generation that made waste of all the lives lost and sacrifices rendered by those who preceded you, so that you could have what no generation before you could have even dreamed and what you so easily squander for those who follow.
